Cookie policy

How LAYR uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies.

1. No cookie-consent banner needed

At launch, LAYR does not use analytics, marketing, or third-party tracking cookies. We only use essential cookies and browser storage that are strictly necessary to run the service (authentication, security, and your preferences). Under the ePrivacy Directive and German Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act, no separate consent banner is required for these essential cookies.

2. What we store

  • Supabase auth session: cookies and localStorage entries used by Supabase to keep you signed in securely and to refresh your session. This is essential for the account and rating features.
  • Guest preferences: localStorage holds your gender preference, guest ratings, and "Your Signature" quiz answers while you are not signed in. These values are stored only on your device and are not sent to our servers unless you create an account.
  • Security / CSRF: Supabase may set short-lived security cookies to protect sign-in requests.

3. How to manage cookies

You can delete or block cookies and localStorage at any time through your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, sign-in and account features will not work correctly.

4. Changes

If we add analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will update this policy and display a consent banner where required by law.
